SEP-OCT TERM – Theatre Foundations
Introduces the fundamental elements of theatre, where students learn the building blocks of narrative, supported by technical training in performing skills to have a better command of their physical and vocal instruments. This module establishes the class as a safe, fun and creative environment where there is a lot of activities (drama games, warm-ups, technical training) that nurse rapport between teacher and students, and enhance free-flow of ideas, and remove inhibitions. The concentration of the term is on equipping students with the performance skills that they need to take to a production term. This is also a great chance for the teacher to assess the level of maturity of the class and identify areas that need further work as they approach the performance.
