Step into the enchanting world of The Jungle Book, brought to life in a dazzling musical performance by Creative Collab. Join us for a captivating theatrical experience that the whole family will cherish. 

 

In this brand new musical adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's timeless masterpiece, talented musical theatre students from Creative Collab take centre stage, immersing you in a vibrant production filled with unforgettable characters and memorable melodies. 

 

Embark on a thrilling journey alongside Mowgli, the young boy raised by wolves, as he braves the dangers of the jungle and encounters a host of delightful and eccentric animal friends. From the wise and fatherly Baloo the bear to the cunning and menacing Shere Khan the tiger, each character bursts to life with the energy and passion of our talented performers. 

 

With its captivating blend of heart-warming storytelling, exquisite costumes and set pieces, toe-tapping tunes, and mesmerising choreography, The Jungle Book is a theatrical extravaganza that will ignite the imaginations of both young and old. It's a show that seamlessly combines the magic of live performance with the timeless themes of friendship, courage, and self-discovery. 

Performance dates: 15-16 June 2024 

Venue: Jockey Club Studio Theatre, Fringe Club, Central, Hong Kong 

Production fee:  HK$1,680 (including costume, digital house programme, performance certificate, rehearsal in the venue, show video link)

Class Rehearsals   

Students must be enrolled in a Creative Collab Musical Theatre course during the April to June 2024 term where they will prepare for the production. We ask that you remain committed to your course and avoid transferring during the rehearsal process. This is not a compulsory event, and your child will still have the opportunity to explore the theme fully within class time. ​ 

 

Production 

The production will take place from 15 to 16 June 2024. Exact performance/on-stage rehearsal dates and times will be allocated during May. Siblings will be cast into the same show where requested. For students enrolled in The Jungle Book, the rehearsal will replace the regular lesson on 15/16 June. An extra date may be needed in May for a rehearsal at the Fringe Club.  

Tickets   

The production fee does not include tickets to watch the show. Please state the quantity you wish to purchase in the application form. We will inform you via email when tickets are on sale which will be about 4 weeks before the production. Please save our email (hello@creative-collab.io) to avoid announcements going to junk mail. All audience members will need to purchase tickets to watch the show, including infants. Students who are performing are not required to purchase a ticket.  

Ticket price: HK$280 

 

Hair, make-up, and costume  

Costumes will be distributed in class before the performance.   

Performers should wear white/light colour undergarments and black jazz shoes that are available for purchase at $289 - $299/pair at Creative Collab. We suggest performers start wearing the jazz shoes in class to practise.  

Girls: Wear hair in a low bun; if hair is too short, style hair away from face 

Boys: Leave hair natural 

 

Health and safety   

We will continue to uphold the highest levels of hygiene and safety. Students and audience members showing signs of illness will not be allowed to enter.  

 

General remarks   

  • Students should not bring bags or accessories to the theatre – water and snacks are provided 

  • The performance is approximately 75 minutes in length  

  • No photography or video taking is allowed during the performance. A professional video of the whole performance will be available 

  • No parents or caregivers are allowed in the backstage area which is fully staffed for the safety of children 

  • Please note that once confirmed, your child becomes an important part of the cast and we cannot give refunds of production fees for any reason 

  • Performance venue and dates are subject to change due to availability
